Biomass Waste Management
Biomass for energy is obtained from the remains of forest harvesting, from the industries of the first and second transformation of wood, from agricultural and forestry products, from residues from livestock farms, from the organic fraction of urban solid waste, of crops implanted and exploited for the sole purpose of obtaining biomass, the so-called energy crops, and in general, of any product of organic origin capable of energy use.
We have extensive experience in managing projects with boilers and combusters using several types of biomass. Custom designs include combustion systems with mobile grate and automatic ash extraction systems, high humidity, varied granulometry, high presence of ash, coupled to hot water boilers , superheated water, saturated steam, superheated steam, thermal oil or directly generating hot gases. We also have solutions for the storage and controlled dosing of fuel to the boiler.
Integrated Design
Our partners’ Biomass plants are an integrated design concept from waste delivery up to flue gas cleaning and ash-separation optimised for high availability and reduced O&M. Good correlation between low corrosion and steam-parameters leads to realistic and proven operating- hour-values above 8.000 hours/year.
Our partners are the official distributor in Europe of BIOCAL biomass boilers and burners (Biochamm brand). In the generation of electrical energy, it has installed equipment that can add up to more than 3,000 tn / h of steam, generating 530 MWe / h, taking advantage of various types of fuels for which we have developed specific combustion systems. BIOCAL and SIEA propose joint tailor-made solutions in projects aimed at making use of different types of waste.
